This is the Australian species of Sandalwood, Santalum spicatum, native to Western Australia. This sandalwood is deadwood; that is, sandalwood that has naturally died and collected from the desert floors. No living trees are used. The powder is beautifully aromatic, containing the essential oil elements. Best for burning and recommended for use in meditation, religious and custom ceremonies.
