Join Sarah Filzen from Healium Yoga and Kyle Denton from Tippecanoe Herbs for a special afternoon of yoga and herbal tea! Saturday February 18th, 1:00-4:15 pm at Healium Restore and Tippecanoe Herbs (located across KK Avenue from Healium Restore).
In Ayurveda (the science of life, sister science to yoga) February is the end of Vata Season and the start of Kapha Season, the time in late winter when the weather is cold and damp, colds and flus still abound but we are getting ready to start coming out of our cozy hibernation. This is a time to build some physical strength and energy, open our hearts and lungs, and generate some internal heat.
On Saturday February 18th we will meet at Healium Restore for a 90 minute yoga asana class, led by Sarah, which will focus on poses meant to be grounding, warming and heart-opening. We will then walk across the street to Tippecanoe Herbs to continue class with a tea flow with Kyle. With a focus on integrating the lesson of expansion and rooting the mind in the Vata season, participants will be led through plant meditations with various herbal tea tastings. Those attending will then blend their own tea blend to take home and continue the flow. Students will also receive a 10% discount on any items at Tippecanoe Herbs purchased that day.
