Join us for the first herb walk of the year! This is our 9th annual Earth Day Herb Walk hosted by herbalist Kyle Denton of Tippecanoe Herbs.
Herb walks are two hour classes exploring and learning the plants as we find them in the local wilds. We discuss how to identify them, traditional uses, stories and lore, how they can be processed into medicine, and much more.
We'll meet on the Riverwest side of the Milwaukee River, but details of exactly where we'll meet will be sent in an email a few days in advance of the class.
The class is limited to 15 people, and we'll meet rain or shine or snow.
One of the intentions of herb walks is to generate an interest in the living ecosystems of our area, and advocate for them. Because this is Earth Day, I encourage you to bring some plastic bags to help gather trash and litter if we pass it on our walk, as an option.
The cost of the class is $25 per person.
We have two herb walks this weekend, so if you can't make it this date, there is a Sunday herb walk as well.
